MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

1200 Tuesday:

The Snapshot: If there is no snow, there might as well be cool crisp sunshine- the mountains are sure out today.  A warming trend starts tomorrow with light snow turning to rain by week's end.  No significant snow accumulation is anticipated through early next week.     

The Science: Today and tonight will remain clear under stable high pressure.  A low-pressure system tracking north along the California coast will produce some light snow tomorrow night and Thursday.  This system will also pull warm air with it pushing freezing levels up to 5000’ or higher on Friday.

4-7day Long Range: Friday through Monday looks wet with freezing levels between 4500’ and 5500’.
