MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 11:30 Tuesday

The Snapshot:  Light snow flurries with sun breaks will continue today and tomorrow.  A warming trend with light mixed rain and snow is expected on Thursday with rain on Friday.

The Science:   These light snow showers will become less frequent during the next 12-24hrs as the atmosphere tries to stabilize itself under cool northerly flow.   A warm front enters the PNW coastal waters on Thursday; this will push moisture into the mountains with freezing levels rising in the wake of the front.

Long Range:  The snow vs. rain game begins again this weekend as cold NW flow fills in behind Friday’s warm front.  Details are still unreliable this far out, so stay tuned.   Cool wet weather will remain in the forecast into next week.

Today’s 24hr Water = .10    Snow =  trace

Tomorrow’s 24hr Water = <.10   Snow = trace
