The Snapshot: Rain showers with a few sun breaks today and
tomorrow. Steady rain on Friday and
Saturday with a drying trend beginning on Sunday.
The Science: A low pressure cell currently moving its way across
the State will spin bands of rain through Stevens Pass for the next 24hrs. A weak upper level ridge will allow some
partial clearing tomorrow. A strong
moist system will enter the coastal region late Thursday night with potential
heavy rain and strong winds for the mountains Friday and Saturday. Freeze levels will be +7000’ so no snow with
this storm.
The Long Range: Dry and warm weather develops on Sunday and
Monday as a ridge of high pressure builds over the interior west. More rainy weather is expected during the
middle of next week.
