MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0900 Wednesday

The Snapshot:  Rain showers with a few sun breaks today and tomorrow.  Steady rain on Friday and Saturday with a drying trend beginning on Sunday.

The Science:  A low pressure cell currently moving its way across the State will spin bands of rain through Stevens Pass for the next 24hrs.  A weak upper level ridge will allow some partial clearing tomorrow.   A strong moist system will enter the coastal region late Thursday night with potential heavy rain and strong winds for the mountains Friday and Saturday.  Freeze levels will be +7000’ so no snow with this storm.  

The Long Range:  Dry and warm weather develops on Sunday and Monday as a ridge of high pressure builds over the interior west.  More rainy weather is expected during the middle of next week.

Rain showers today, decreasing tonight,  mostly dry with some light rain tomorrow.
