MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Day and Time: 10:00am

Current Observations:
Precipitation: 0
Pass temperature: 42
Winds: 0-5 SSE
Barometer:  1027mbs / 30.46inHg
Sky: clear
Radar: clear

The Snapshot:  Dry and clear for the rest of the week.  Daytime temperatures could peak near 60.

The Forecast:  Most models agree that this clear, dry and seasonally warm weather will continue through the week and likely into the weekend.  Enjoy.

Long Range:  Long range models are showing signs of a low pressure moving in early next week. This is waaaaay out there so confidence in this change is fairly low.  Stay tuned.

The Science:  The barometric pressures of this large dominating high pressure system are reading in the +- 30inHg range.  That is strong for this time of year.  The northern edge of the upper ridge reaches into the southern panhandle of Alaska while the southern boundary extends to southern California.  Big.

The temperature profile for the next few days will continue to be inverted. The coldest temperatures will be found the eastern valley’s while and upper level air above 4000’ will remain fairly warm (+-40’s).

General air flow (wind) will remain offshore/easterly and light through the week as well.
