Long
Range: Next week starts out cool and dry, with the
possibility of active weather returning for the second half.
The Science:
Continued NW upper level flow on the downstream side of a ridge in the Pacific
will bring light, spotty snow showers and partly-mostly cloudy skies on
Saturday with cooling temperatures. As the ridge nudges in on Sunday it will
cut off what little moisture we’re still getting and allow a cool, continental
airmass to move further south. This will bring further cooling, clearing skies,
and very light snow to the mountains.
Confidence: Good.
Values from 4am today through 4am tomorrow.
